Afghan Cultural Society was founded in 2018 as a way to build community around the promotion and preservation of Afghan culture and to challenge the western narrative of who Afghans are. Today we provide a range of services aimed at ensuring all recently arrived refugees successfully navigate resettlement in their new home.
Through advocacy, workshops, cultural events and programming, we create pathways to social and support, economic self-sufficiency, and collective well-being. Our strength lies in our ability to connect newly arriving refugees with established immigrant communities to create mutually beneficial and lasting bonds. We employ a multilingual and multi-ethnic staff who provide culturally competent services to communities which they are also part of.
